The last post was some things that irritate me, but this one is about something that has me just plain mad!

I (used to) exchange my propane tanks.  You know, the Blue Rhino or AmerigasPPX tank exchange located at most home improvement stores, convenience stores, and Wal*Mart, etc.  Well, if memory serves me correctly the tank is a 20lb tank (someone correct me if I'm wrong).  The other day I exchanged one of my tanks for a full 20lb. Amerigas tank at the local Wal*Mart.  Except, while I was waiting for the associate to open up the cage I noticed that my empty tank said "Net Wt. 17lb."  Hey, that's sneaky only putting 17lbs. of propane in a 20lb. tank.  That doesn't feel like it's quite as good of a deal as it did.  And just like Billy Mays, "But wait, there's more", the "full" tank had a whopping 15lb. net weight.  I know, less product for more price isn't a new concept, but it really gets under my skin. 

What's next, you go to the gas station for 10 gallons of gas, but you get "10 gallons" that really equals 7.5 gallons?  I know that's a little facetious, but you probably get my point.  As for my propane tanks, they will now be filled at the local farmer's supply or U-Haul, where a full 20lb. tank means you actually get 20lbs.

On a better note, just 18 days until the kids go to Grammy & Grampy's, and 24 days until I go on a real vacation!
